License Renewal 2025

  • The 2025 race fee per horse is mandatory and is set at €25 per horse declared in training.

  • I apply to have my existing License renewed and I declare that I know of no reason for the IHRA to refuse to issue such a License.In applying for this license I agree to abide by the Rules, Regulations & Social Media Policy of the IHRA and will notify the IHRA of any pre existing medical conditions that may affect my ability to perform my duties as a license holder.I declare that all the answers given in my application are correct , and I will upon request by the Stewards of the Irish Harness Racing Association produce formal confirmation from the Criminal Records Office of An Garda Siochana or Police Service of Northern Ireland that there are no entries relating to me held on their files.
  • THIS APPLICATION IS SUBJECT TO BOARD APPROVAL. Once approval is granted, an email will be sent to the email address quoted in the application. In becoming a Member, Trainers and their agents/representatives accept that they are bound by the Rules and Policies of the Irish Harness Racing Association clg (the “IHRA”) and will abide by the Rule Book in force at any given time. Furthermore, a member agrees that permission will be given to the IHRA to hold its member’s data on file. The IHRA confirms that it does not engage in data transfer and, therefore, this data will not be transferred, copied, shared or transmitted outside of the IHRA. All Northern Ireland and UK Members will continue to have a level of protection in Ireland under GDPR Rules equivalent to that under the UK Data Protection Regime.
  • I/We understand that acceptance of my/our Membership Application is conditional on agreeing to the above. When required with a New Membership Application a scanned copy of a birthcert/passport must be forwarded to the IHRA office for all new Junior Members. From time to time the IHRA may take or use photographs at competitions to display on our social media site, or sent to The Irish Field. If you do not wish to be displayed in this way, please contact the office. The practise of Harness Racing is a risk sport and members must be cognisant that there is an 'inherent risk' involved in harness racing and handling equines on the ground. I agree to allow my horses to be provided for use in International visiting driver competitions which are hosted by the IHRA.
