In what will be considered as one of the all time great double up’s was witnessed yesterday at Ballabuidhe in very difficult under foot racing conditions, brothers Tadgh (Trainer) and Donal (Driver) landed the laurels in both the Heineken Irelad Grand Prix and the Paddy Connolly Memorial finals. IB Gucci a five year old son of Best Sunshine/Annies Lady landed the Grand Prix having won his qualifying heat on Sunday, in similar fashion IB Rapido a five year old son of Hasty Hall/Casamia took the Paddy Connolly Memorial final having won his qualify heat on Sunday.
A similar double act was produced in 2010 by the Murphy combination when IB Gucci took the Paddy Connolly Memorial and Jill & Jones took the Grand Prix. Can this be repeated in years to come………… over to Dan Carlin for a long odds forecast…………….
