Another milestone for Harness Racing was achieved today as a delegation from the Irish Harness Racing Association made a formal presentation to the 71st General Assembly of UET held at Vincennes in Paris for membership of the Union European du Trot to join with the existing other twenty European nations.
This is a follow on step from Ireland’s signing of the International Breeding Agreement with Le Trot in January 2014 and the purchasing of both racing and breeding Trotteur Francais horses during the year. These are significant steps in Irelands path the become a significant player on the International Trotting scene and form part of an overall development strategy for Trotting in Ireland
