A delegation from the Irish Harness Racing Club with a representative from Horse Sport Ireland are making a visit to Vincennes in Paris this weekend to sign the International agreement with Le Trot which paves the way for the development of Trotteur Francais racing in Ireland. This signing coencides with the largest event on the French calendar the Prix De Amerique which takes place at Vincennes on Sunday 26th.
An IHRC selection committee will visit France during the first week of March to make the final selection process of the first group horses to be purchased. It is envisaged that these horses will arrive in Ireland in mid March
